I have a LITE-ON LTR-48327S CD player/burner. The only disk it will read is a rewritable. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still didn't work. I dl a Flash Update version 1.03, that was recommended for this player. When I tried to install it I got an error message that the target drive could not be found.
I also cleaned the lense and that didn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks.
Rosie

since you are able to read some disks, it could not be any mistake with the installation
I just guess that your drive broke

how did you clean the lens ?

I cleaned it with a dry cotton swab.
Thanks for your input.

You can't really do much more
but you can try to use some kind cleansing lotion (the clear type) which helped with my lens
just be careful not to etch off the lens ... but it can't get worse can it :P
