Ubuntu is based on Debian....working with .deb files and the amazing apt!

It´s standart Windowsmanager is GNOME
there is also a KDE version, called
KUBUNTU

EDUBUNTU


and the best:
IT´S FREE!

no BS like Suse and Co


u can Download Ubuntu as Live/Install CD and as Live/Install DVD! (also for 64bit!!!! )


so, if working with linux:
Ubuntu is it!
